The idea of cultural relativism is nothing but an excuse to violate human rights. ~Shirin Ebadi

This is a household of strong opinions.  Ever notice?  Just the same this is the scariest thing I have read in a long time.  We have so lost our way if our children can no longer distinguise right from wrong.

Very disturbing.

Ending on a better note, the girl now has a prosthetic nose and genuine smile of happiness.

Yes, very scary. It's just another reason that I am glad we homeschool. My husband and I want our children to learn our values. There are some things that are just wrong under any circumstances. Why are people today so afraid to say so?

Seeking: Yes, my point was less about what was done than the kids' reaction to it. I can't imagine Star or the Princess saying that was ok in any way, shape, or form!

Mommytothree: lol I decided not to go there. I do enough ranting on that subject I figure all the regulars here didn't need telling! ☺
