Gerry: me too. I used to have a lot of her stuff on vinyl ~ used to have a lot of stuff on vinyl lol ~ & have never been able to find & replace some of my favourites.
Julie: technically [as in voice technique ~ she scoops a lot to get to her high notes], as my daughter pointed out to me, she doesn't sing all that well but that is one amazing voice & yes, she can still make me cry! ☺
I have great love and respect for Joan and still play her music here. Love Forever Young as well...my hubby and I tend to sing that tune in hospital waiting rooms and all heads turn and smile! It's certainly a conversation starter, anyways, which is uplifting to me. :)

Loved it then and still love it now!
I've always thought her voice is achingly beautiful. Some of her songs still make me cry. :D

Thanks for sharing she is a Friend, also.
Jan Lyn: Not sure how closely she now adheres to the faith but she was raised as a Quaker & I'm sure that has much to do with her social conscience.
My dh loves her music and so I've listened to her as well and I love her too now! Didn't realise she was a Quaker.
