And she pondered these things in her heart...

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Proverbs4:23

We are transitioning ~ not so smoothly. Liddy, finally, has handed in her resignation. We are all relieved. Changes are ahappening. In the midst of the need to deal with the practicalities of life the Lord has been speaking to me & I am trying to keep one ear at least tuned to what He has to say to me.

Whatever happens one thing & one thing alone is important: to walk in the old ways & see & ask for the old paths, where is the good way because there we shall find rest for our souls.

And the question is, "What does it really mean to follow Jesus?" If he came to show us the way, what is that way? Not, it seems, what I have always been taught it is. The church has lied & as I attempt to peel away the layers of paganism & man~made ritual that have attached themselves to the church as we know it I am left with something far simpler, far more profound & far more difficult than I ever imagined.

Not the easiest journey I've ever undertaken but at least I can't complain to the Lord that it was boring!

Sounds like you're going through a very interesting time of unveiling. Thinking of you. :)

Ganeida, why is it that no matter what is going on in your life, it still feels like a resting place for my soul? Could it be we are kindred spirits?

oh, how i wish we could sit down together for a nice long talk and a cup of tea.... or at the very least, have a chat on the phone. This living-on-opposite-sides-of-the-world business does get tiresome. sigh.

When we get to heaven, you and i shall be next door neighbors... I insist!

alecat: Thank you. I may yet be banging on your door because I suspect you are further along on this journey than I am. ☺

Seeking: My friend, you are one person I really wish I could grab by the collar, sit down & thrash ideas through with! ☺ It's not just that so few are on the same journey, it's that so few even seem to have a clue even when I think I have explained myself really clearly.

Oh Diane! Me too. And what's this next door neighbour stuff? I thought you had reserved a room in the house! ☺ I think = I talk. When I can't talk I can't think properly. lol.

LOL!....(blink)....LOL!

Well, since you put it that way.... ;)

Although I am not in the fold, I admire the need to question. Blind faith, in my opinion, leads to blind behavior. Seeking answers may actually expand your belief.

Hope Liddy is ok with everything. I know decisions like these are very hard. :(

My head has been spinning lately... I'm considering just reading the Bible for a week - no computer - to try to get a grip on reality. God is surely speaking; we must remember how to listen.

Seeking: you know we are kindred spirits! ☺

Sandra: You know I believe knowledge is power! ☺ How I would love to get inside your brain & have a poke around! lol Although we don't agree on this one thing I admire the clear logical way you think.

MrsC: Um...yes & no. Relieved to be finished with a horrible work situation, at peace about her next 2 moves, finding the transitioning hard...which means we are all suffering. lol

MamaO: you sure you're not Quaker? ☺ That is a very Quaker response & I would encourage it. Naturally. ♥♥♥

Few Churches have it right, but we are to love the Lord with all our Heart soul and mind and everyone else as much as we love ourselves. Don't stress Ganeida.Concentrate on those two and leave the Churches to Him. We are not part of this world but we MUST live in it. Prayers for Liddy. Friend.

Friend: The question is not *what* we are meant to be doing but *how* we are meant to be doing it ~ & I do not think that has a simplistic answer. The question is not the church per se but untangling truth from lies in order than the first question can be addressed correctly.

A name would be good. I always like to know to whom I am speaking.

Excited for Liddy. Glad you are walking your difficult path so well.

Ganeida, that poke may actually be the end of you. Be glad you only wonder at and don't actually experience the madness. : )

Jeanne: Well she may be farming alpacas yet. lol. Will keep you posted!

Sandra: You read here. You can't seriously think whatever goes on in your head is madder than what goes on in mine! ☺ Besides, I like interesting & unusual things!

Hi Ganeida,
This Bible verse spoke volumes to me in today's devotional, and I have just finished putting it onto my praise post for tomorrow.

...what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? Micah 6:8

It is so difficult to peel away the layers of paganism without a degree of legalism creeping in, or so I've found, anyway. It's a very fine line that we walk, isn't it? :P

Have a wonderful weekend, my friend,
Love and blessings, Jillian ♥
